MEMBER PROFILE
YP601-NA-89 Sargodha-II Muhammad Umer Ali Ranjha

Umer holds a LLB (Hons) from University of London. His academic trajectory as a law student exposed him to various key areas in the Pakistani legal system which do not conform to the changing needs of the disadvantaged sections of the society which include women, children and religious minorities. It is their resilience and constant struggle that has motivated Umer to be a part of the 17th YPP. He believes that the YPP will broaden his understanding of the various local and global challenges in the Pakistani political system and equip him with a skill set to address these in the most effective manner. As youth, it will also allow him to explore the nitty gritties of the law-making process in Pakistan and the role it plays in harboring a strong democratic system. Additionally, this avenue will foster his critical thinking skills and provide him with an opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals and understand different perspectives. He is a member of the Youth Standing Committee on Foreign Relations – II (Europe & Americas).
