Syed Hilal Hussain Shah hailing from district Torghar (previously tribal belt) the most underdeveloped, smallest and culturally rich district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He is a Youth Innovation Challenge 2019 winner and holds a Master’s degree in Government and Public Policy (GPP) from National Defense University, Islamabad and his research interest areas are cyber democracy, citizenship in the digital age, digital policies and inclusion and gender inequalities in the digital age. He is passionate to bring positive change in society through inclusion of underrepresented segments of society in decision making. He is a civic educator and worked with different national and international organizations for strengthening democracy in Pakistan. He worked for Effective and Participatory Local Government with Global Education Economic and Social Empowerment (GEESE) a national organization as a district Coordinator Torghar and also worked with British Council of Pakistan on enrollment of out of school children to leave no one behind and aware masses about fundamental constitutional rights.
