YP289-OP06 Karim Jawed Alwani

Karim Jawed Alwani is currently pursuing MA in Governance, Development and Public Policy from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex, which is ranked as number one in the QS World University Rankings for development studies. He also completed an MA in Islamic Studies and Humanities from SOAS, University of London in 2021. He was awarded a fully funded scholarship by the Institute of Ismaili Studies, London in 2019 to pursue two master’s degrees in the United Kingdom. Previously, he has also studied MSc in Social Sciences-Economics from SZABIST, Karachi. His banking career as a risk professional and internal auditor with different Pakistani banks spans around half a decade and he is also a member of ACCA (UK). He is a Joint Secretary of the Youth Standing Committee on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety.
